Fluorophlogogite mica (also known as artificial mica, synthetic mica large crystal), belongs to the silicate class of artificial mica crystal, is fused in a platinum crucible in the high temperature state of 1500℃, which is under strict technological conditions and material ratio.Its chemical formula is KMg3(AlSi3O10)F2.Because Fluorophlogogite mica is grown by strict technological conditions and material ratio (otherwise it cannot become to mica crystal), its texture is very pure and its electrical property is very good. Body resistivity: 1015 ~ 1016 Ω•cm(about 1000 times higher than natural mica);
The breakdown strength is 185 ~ 238 kV/mm, which is 10 times that of polytetrafluoroethylene.
It can work at 1100℃ for a long time. The melting and crystallization temperature is 1375℃. The stability of hot and cold sudden change is also very good.
The ten cycle-test results are all qualified which was done under -40℃ to -70 ℃ by five Saibao laboratories in Guangzhou China(designated testing center of key research institute).
Natural mica contains more impurities, the electrical properties are unstable, the electrical properties are worse at high temperature and high frequency, and the characteristics of mica are gradually lost due to dehydration when the temperature is above 500
℃. Polytetrafluoroethylene, which is commonly used insulation material, d
ue to its poor temperature resistance, can only be used in low temperature environment, and its product is prone to metal impurities,so its corona property is not good. It can be seen that the electrical insulation properties of natural mica and polytetrafluoroethylene are incomparable toFluorophlogogite

mica is an ideal electrical insulation material in the field of high-end technology. It has been selected by the 13th Institute of Shijiazhuang of CLP Group in China for Shenzhou VIII spacecraft and environmental monitoring satellites and other space equipment to make insulation sheets.Military insulation field Fluorophlogopite, a type of mica mineral, is garnering attention for its potential applications in military insulation. With its remarkable thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, and resistance to high temperatures, fluorophlogopite presents itself as a promising material for military insulation systems. Its capacity to maintain structural integrity in demanding conditions makes it an attractive candidate for use in insulating military equipment and facilities, thereby contributing to improved energy efficiency and thermal management. Research and development efforts are underway to further investigate the suitability of fluorophlogopite in military insulation, with the goal of enhancing the performance and durability of insulation systems across a range of military applications.
